The mission of the Florida Lake Management Society is to promote protection, enhancement, conservation, restoration, and management of Florida's aquatic resources;  provide a forum for education and information exchange; and advocate environmentally sound and economically feasible lake and aquatic resource management for the citizens of Florida.

The Florida Lake Management Society will host the 2008 NALMS Southeast Regional Conference in combination with the 19th Annual FLMS Conference and Meeting (FLMS 2008) at the beautiful Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Sandestin, Florida from June 2-5, 2008. FLMS is hosting the Conference in cooperation with the Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance and the Mattie Kelly Cultural and Environmental Institute, Okaloosa-Walton College, and these groups are holding their Conference immediately preceding FLMS. Abstracts are due March 7 but will be accepted as long as feasible or until the program is full. See the conference page for additional information.
