Join us as we present Dr. Bill Mitsch, Eminent Scholar and Director of Everglades Wetland Research Park, Eminent Scholar, and Juliet C. Sproul Chair for Southwest Florida Habitat Restoration and Management and is a Professor of Marine and Ecological Science at Florida Gulf Coast University. He has been a university professor specializing in wetland and aquatic biogeochemistry and ecological engineering for 44 years. Dr. Mitsch has authored over 700 publications. His research emphasized wetlands for nutrient removal and using treatment wetlands to solve harmful algal blooms.
